WHAT IS REIKI?

A woman is getting a massage on her forehead at a spa.

Reiki is a Japanese technique and a close “cousin” to acupuncture, that is used to help reduce stress and promote healing. The word comes from the Japanese words rei, which means “universal life,” and ki, which means “energy.” It is based on the idea that an unseen life energy flows through our bodies and causes us to be alive. If your life energy is low, then you have a higher likelihood of getting sick or feeling stressed. But if it is high, then you are more likely to be happy and healthy. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion.

Reiki sessions can help relieve tension and stress as well as promote physical, mental, and emotional healing. While Reiki is a great tool for stress reduction and relaxation, it is not a cure for a disease or illness. Sessions are meant to be pleasant and relaxing in order to help improve your personal wellness. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

OUR OFFICE REIKI MASTER LOYALLY SERVES THE FORT BRAGG, HOPE MILLS & FAYETTEVILLE, NC

A session with our Reiki Master generally runs about 45 to 60 minutes. During your first session, we will discuss everything that you can expect, any problems or issues you are experiencing, and what you hope to achieve during the session. You will then lie on your back on a massage table.

Unlike a massage, you will stay clothed, and we recommend wearing comfortable clothing. Your session is normally hands-on and hands-off with very light pressure. If you have any concerns after your introduction, just let our Reiki Master know what you prefer before beginning your session.

Our Reiki Master will then proceed through the standard Reiki hand positions, beginning at your head or feet, and proceed through the session according to your individual energetic needs.

Susan, our Reiki Master, is in the office every day and is happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have ahead of time. She has been practicing in Fayetteville for several years and has excellent feedback and reviews. She is a member of and carries insurance via the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP).

There is simply no overstating the advantages of modern Reiki treatment options. If you would like to experience relief, we urge you to schedule an appointment at our local chiropractic office . Our certified staff members are always standing by to assist the residents of Fort Bragg, Hope Mills, and Fayetteville, NC.
